Tempo Growth Tools
Installation guide
Tempo is installed and managed from the BigCommerce control panel. No separate Tempo account or manual theme-code change is required for standard storefront placements.
1. Install the application
- Open the BigCommerce App Marketplace and search for Tempo Growth Tools.
- Select the app, review the requested permissions and approve installation for the correct store.
- Open Apps → Tempo Growth Tools in the BigCommerce control panel.
2. Understand the requested permissions
- Content — modify: installs and maintains Tempo-owned Script Manager resources and, when available for the store, its Page Builder template.
- Marketing — modify: creates and synchronizes only automatic promotions managed by enabled Volume Discount campaigns.
- Products, Customers, Channel settings, Sites and Store information — read only: powers catalog selection, targeting, storefront discovery and signed customer-group verification. Tempo does not request the customer list for group targeting.
3. Configure a sales tool
- Open Storefront Tools and choose the outcome and tool you want to configure.
- Choose Set up, Configure or + Add new, depending on the tool.
- Set customer-facing content, products, behavior, styling, storefront channels, visibility rules and schedule.
- Switch between Desktop and Mobile and test the interactive preview.
- Select Save & enable.
4. Verify the live storefront
Open the matching storefront page through BigCommerce View storefront. Verify desktop and mobile, the intended product or cart state, and both guest and logged-in audiences when customer targeting is used. Multi-Storefront merchants should repeat the check for every selected channel.
5. Storefront scripts and uninstall
Tempo registers its app-owned storefront loader through BigCommerce Script Manager. BigCommerce removes auto-uninstall Script Manager resources when the app is uninstalled, and Tempo deletes the active store record, encrypted access token, configurations and stored events after a valid uninstall callback. Hosting-provider backups may remain for the provider's normal restricted backup lifecycle.
If installation or rendering fails, use the User guide or contact Tempo support.
